Reel Tangle
Reel Tangle is a new ensemble matching the already established trio of Rachel Musson (tenor saxophone), Olie Brice (double bass) and Mark Sanders (drums/percussion) with renowned alto saxophonist Jason Yarde..
The four musicians draw heavily on their shared interest in free jazz and free improvisation. whilst using a composed framework of themes, text and gesture around which to weave a skein of exploration in sound, melody and time.
The trio of Rachel, Mark and Olie proved to be extremely popular when they played here last June. Now they return for the first ever performance by the quartet Reel Tangle. Another world exclusive for Listen!.
