Listen! presents...

Sloth Racket

We are delighted to launch our autumn series of concerts with the return of Cath Roberts' mighty quintet Sloth Racket, the first band ever to appear at Listen! back in June 2017.

Formed in 2015, the group plays Cath's compositions which combine written fragments with graphic notation to explore the balance between freedom and structure. The results are always different and unpredictable, ranging across musical territories and taking in fiery free jazz, minimal improv textures and heavy riffs along the way.

'An agreeably spicy goulash of free improvisation, grumpy riffs and bluesy themes.' ~ The Quietus

Sloth Racket released their fourth studio album, Dismantle Yourself, on 2nd September. You can order is now from the band's Bandcamp page or buy it at the gig.
